• Co-developer, with Marilyn Wardrop, of the Orton-Gillingham Overview Workshop, which has been presented to numerous schools, university classes and professional groups.

Member to Member Meeting was held in January

On January 26, 2012, the OG Tutors from James Cameron School hosted the annual Member-to-Member Workshop at the Broadway Church in Vancouver.  It was a lively and interesting evening filled with great “take away” ideas based on the Auditory Discrimination Program utilized at James Cameron School.

O-G Tutor Support Meetings

North Vancouver O-G tutors meet regularly.

Richmond/ Twassawsen CATT tutors hold informal meetings on a monthly basis.
The meetings are held on weekdays during the mornings, generally starting at 9:30 or 10 am.
We meet at a local café or occasionally at a member’s home. A topic decided upon beforehand is discussed and members have an opportunity to ask questions and share.

Surrey O-G Tutor Meetings are generally held the first Friday of every month at 7:00 PM.

Vancouver O-G Tutors are asked to contact Glenn Alexander,  galexander@telus.net for the current date, topic, and location of meetings.
The meeting time is 7:00 – 8:30, dates are the last Wednesday of every other month during the academic year, meeting locations rotate through members’ homes,  topics for discussion are decided by suggestion, all attendees are requested to bring something to share, prepared and photocopied for at least 10 people, all O-G tutors are welcome.
